A small INF mod to allow the go to work should be all that is needed. I have been to their site and they no longer support this card. If you want support for your old FX then move to linux, since old hardware get’s the best support. Well so far no luck. I contacted Nvidia tech support in December , and the representative confirmed that my particular card is now deemed as a “legacy card,” which is no longer supported; he then pointed me to this website. The smaller driver 30MB will be the 32bit one.

Current drivers only support Series 6 an above Would be great if we can find a way to get newer f5x200 to work for better driver control and options. No BSOD or artefacts at all. The 9x drivers will demand less of your card, but they many not enable all your features. At the moment, due to this graphical stutter I’m left to outright quit playing my MMO. The next driver I’ll try is The latest drivers that will work are the Graphics are all right for daily work.
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 for Windows 7
I mentioned that nVidia dropped official support after the 9x drivers. If you try any of them, we’d appreciate hearing your results. Still, they’re worth a try. CybermancerOct 16, I got a resolution of x and it works fine. I did install PowerStrip briefly, but I am too scared to fool with it too much as I am worried I might fry my card.
Unfortunately, nVidia dropped official Vista support for the FX cards after the 9x.

Posted January 3, Edited to reflect information recieved below. Yes, my password is: For something more recent, you need to use a Vista driver. Works fine for areo and general computing, I havent tried any games though since it is a work pc.
